Eco Clubs play an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. It motivates students to keep their surroundings green and clean by undertaking plantation of trees. It also enables the students to be sensitive towards environmental concern to tackle environmental problems.
Eco Club at DC Montessori Sr.Sec.(SMART), School works actively to instill in students love for environment and thereby contribute in preserving it.
The club generates action based activities like tree plantation (herbal garden), cleanliness drives both within and outside the school campus from time to time.
Besides the club conducts rallies at public places with a view to spread environmental awareness among the general public .
This theme kept the students busy throughout the week who were not only thinking green, but also acting green! They switched off the lights in classrooms whenever not required, stressing on the need to conserve energy. The teachers even taught the Slogan:EACH ONE PLANT ONE.
Our institution strongly believes that a big difference to the lives of the dwellers of this beautiful planet stems from the responsible thoughts and individual contributions of each one of us, every day in every way therefore such kind of activities imbibe a sense of care towards environment and are important to be taught to children for better future preservation.
